Van de Graaff (VDG) Accessories (STE 10181)

This set of accessories for the STE 10178 Van de Graaff Generator (VDG) provides a convenient and useful resource for demonstrating electrostatic effects with the Van de Graaff Generator.

Included are:
Faraday's Pail - spun aluminium cylinder, when attached to domne demonstrates that charge is located on the outside
Ions in Motion simulator - clear perspex vessel containing conducting spheres, when plugged in and activated on top of the dome, demonstrates random motion
Head of Hair (artificial) - attaches to top of dome, rises when charged
Electrostatic Windmill- demonstrates electrostatic wind streaming from point of conductors
Charge Detector - steel probe with neon to show presence of field
Bouncing Ball - a conducting sphere connnected to the top of the dome by a string alternately is repulsed and falls back toward the dome
