Melting Point Apparatus (STE 11859)

This apparatus is very easy to use.  Simpy take a glass capillary tube and seal using a bunsen flame.  Place the sample into the tube and locate in the heating block.  adjusting the heating rate via the control knob.  To accelerate heating, or for use in the higher temperature, press the boost switch.  View the samples and melt process via the magnifying lens.  Note that clear observation is assisted by built in illumination.


Record the melt temperatures from the thermometer which, for convience, is positioned horizontal to the samples to allow simultaneopus viewing.  The lens can be detached for cleaning.
