The purpose of this product is to demonstrate clearly but non-quantitatively the effect of temperature on pressure of a fixed volume of gas, and it does this very well by plunging the bulb into iced water and hot water. It is not really possible to convert this into a quantitative measurement by changing the gauge.
For a quantitative measurement we would suggest the Charles' Law Apparatus (STE 10273) or its small version (STE 12342). These work particularly well with a mercury filling but are also effective but less accurate with water filling. These methods are described in the accompanying instructions.
